Vihear Sarsar Mouy Rouy is a pagoda well-known for its history and as a place of pilgrimage for residents of Kratie. Vihear Sarsar Mouy Rouy, meaning 'Temple with 100 columns', was first built in the 16th century by King Chann Reachea. The pagoda included 100 wooden columns to commemorate the memory of his daughter Vorakpheak.
The pagoda is located in Sambor town, 36 km from Kratie. To get there, take the old N R 7 along the River bank 24 km to Sandan village and continue northward 12 km by the River road to Sambo.

In the 16th century, King Chann Reachea reigned over the country and lived in the former capital City of Oudong. He had a daughter named Vorakpheak. Once the daughter was ill, he commanded his servants to invite the head of Buddhist monastery at Neak Sen pagoda (located at Chrouy Banteay commune Prek Prasop district) to cure his daughter’s illness. While the head of the monk was absent from the pagoda, Nen Thun his favorite student who learnt white magic spell secretly, and then he was magically transformed into a crocodile called “Crocodile Nen Thun”. When the teacher returned, Nen Thun had become a crocodile and could not turn to be a human being.
Then he always took his teacher on his back to cure the king’s daughter. One day, a mighty crocodile called Sopor Kaley, that wanted to challenge with Nen Thun, stopped Nen Thun while he was carrying his teacher on the way back from the palace.
The two crocodiles then started fighting. As Nen Thun could not find way to save his teacher, he decided to swallow his teacher into his stomach to keep safe for a while. The fighting lasted 3 days and 3 night, and finally Sopor Kaley was defeated and then died and suddenly turn into a mountain presently called Sopor Kaley. When Nen Thun threw out his teacher from his stomach, he was alredy dead. Nen Thun was very sorry and determined to kill he king’s daughter because he thought that she was the cause of his teacher’s death. Nen Thun swam quietly and suddenly swallowed the king’s daughter who was playing at the Royal Palace port.
King Chann Reachea commanded his confidants to follow Nen Thun until they reached the place now known as Sambor caught crocodile (Nen Thun) there and cut open the crocodile’s stomach to get the king’s daughter out.

Phnom Preah :
Phnom Preah is a historical and cultural site 1 km west of Chhlong Market. It has a small hermitage and a big Buddha statue that people from different places visit. It is said that big Buddha statue was made of Tatrao wood floating along the Mekong river from Laos that got stuck at the port of a pagoda now known as Seila Noti Chholng. Laymen and laywomen at the pagoda took the statue and kept him at the pagoda for worship. Later, statue told the residents in their dreams that moving the statue to a hill behind that village would bring good health and prosperity. The people did, and since then the villagers have called that hill “Phnom Preah."
Koh Pdao :
Koh Pdao At Koh Pdao, an island in the Mekong, visitors will find the Koh Pdao Dolphin Pool, one of the few places where you can spot the rare Irrawaddy river dolphin. During the Community Development Tour, visitors travel up the Mekong River from Kratie to Koh Pdao Island and observe the lives of Cambodians on Koh Pdao. Home stays can be arranged.

Teuk Chou Rapids :
Cross the main river in Kampot Town, turn right down a wide dirt road and after about seven kilometers you will come to one of the most peaceful, pleasant little hideaways in the province. Although referred to as waterfalls by locals, Teuk Chhou is in fact a series on sparkling natural rapids with crystal clear water which is always cool and fresh. A line of food stalls satisfy picnic makers with everything from fruit to whole roast chicken and catfish, to banana and coconut roasted in banana leaves (a specialty of Kampot).
Durian Plantations :
The reason you might have been offered so much of the spiky, strong-smelling fruit known as durian while enjoying the Teuk Chheu rapids is because of the proximity of the plantations, which line either side of the road en route. Kampot durian is famous throughout Cambodia for its flavor and sweetness. It is deemed superior to Thai durian by Khmer connoisseurs (Prime Minister Hun Sen among them) and the price reflects this it can cost twice as much as its imported counterpart. Many foreigners do not enjoy the strong taste and smell of this strange fruit, with its creamy yellow flesh encased in brown spiked skin, but those who do will find the cheapest (and tastiest) durian in the Kingdom in Kampot.
Prek Tnout :
Prek Tnout is an ecotourism site that is partially located within Bokor National Park. Prek Tnout features biodiversity of regional and global significance including rare and endangered species. It is 30km west of Kampot Town along National Road 3 and 90km east of Preah Sihanouk province along National Road 4. The site is entirely run by local villagers themselves, and income from tourist activities directly benefits the community.
Kompong Trach :
The town of Kampong Trach, Kampot is a small one but still offers enough attractions to the tourists. Here you would find various limestone caves and tubes in a nearby mountain. Once there was also a large cave in the center of the mountain whose roof had collapsed and thus a small enclosed jungle had been formed in the area. In the caves you would find various pagodas and caves which are excellent sightseeing attractions. Therefore, do not forget to bring a flashlight and always a pair of good walking shoes.

Veal Lumher (Kep city ) :
Veal Lumher is a lovely little site tucked away in Kep Village of Kep Commune. Veal Lumher refers to the Koh Puor or the Puor Island. It has become as one of the most favorite destinations for the tourists who are looking for spending a few days far away from the crowds of more 'touristy' places. Arriving here is easy and convenient. If you are traveling from the provincial town, a 0.5 km journey will take you to the Veal Lumher in Kep City. A maximum of 3 minutes' ride and you will find yourself at one of the most beautiful corners in the land of Cambodia.

Kompong Thom Province :
Situated in central Cambodia, Kampong Thom is one of five provinces located at the lower part of the Tonle Sap Lake and rich in historical sites such as temples from the pre-Angkorian era.
The famous Sambor Prei Kuk, an ancient city that has about two hundred brick temples is located here in this province. The city was built during the time of King Isanavarman when he successfully united the territories of Chenla Kork and the Khmer water territory of Chenla Toek. Sambo Prei Kuk served as the capital of the Khmer Empire for many centuries.
It is interesting to first visit Sambor Prei Kuk before visiting the splendid Angkor complex, as its design and style are the foundations that inspired the Angkor civilization.

The city was built during the time of King Isanavarman when he successfully united the territories of Chenla Kork and the Khmer water territory of Chenla Toek. Sambo Prei Kuk served as the capital of the Khmer Empire for many centuries.
It is interesting to first visit Sambor Prei Kuk before visiting the splendid Angkor complex, as its design and style are the foundations that inspired the Angkor civilization.

Andet temple :
Andet temple, built in the Prei Kmeng style with one single brick tower, now nestles snugly alongside a modern Buddhist wat. This was built in the latter part of the seventh century under Jayavarman I.
In the central group of temples, the decorative details of Prasat Tor (Lion temple) are similar in style to the ruins belonging to the period of king Jayavarman II of the ninth century.

Wat Kuhak Nokor is an eleventh-century site with a collection of laterite and sandstone buildings in a well-maintained 200 square meters park surrounded by a large sandstone rampart 3 meters in height. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman I, the style is similar to the Tonlé Bati temple

Phnom Santuk Mountain has many Buddha statues carved from great mountain rock including three big Buddha statues reaching Nirvana, each measure than 10-meter length. Phnom Santuk has changed names to Chorn Chong Kiri and Phnom Krop Tuk. Chan Chan Dare or Chan Chare are called two pieces of stone by local people that join all together in marked symbol and made in small hole. When the passenger arrived there, they always dropped cash coins (ancient coins) into this small hole.When cash coins are dropped in, it makes soft weak voice like a voice of the birds sing or music with happiness. So they did that since ancient period.

Lion temple :
Lion temple group comprise 18 temples with two ramparts closed to the pond. The reasons why the people called Lion Temple because on the tops of all stairs from the four directions, there were sitting lions with forelegs standing up, hind-legs humbling down, its head rose up and its mouth opened to the sanctuary. Now the pond is empty during the dry season.
Prasat Yeah Poun Group :
Prasat Yeah Puon Group comprised a total of 22 sanctuaries (5 have octagonal shapes) with two wall rampart, and was built of brick, masonry, laterite and sandstone in rectangular from in 7th century (600-635) during the reign of Isanavarman I to dedicated to Shiva. They were built on a hill with Gopura from the eastern and western entrances joining to an outside laterite rampart. The inner rampart reached by gateways from the four directions and joined to the brick rampart carved in various clustering figures.

Rattanakiri Province :

Yeak Loam Lake :
Yeak Laom Lake is located about 5 kilometers southeast of central Banlung. This beautiful lake is a crater formed after a volcanic eruption over 4000 years ago; the diameter of this lake is about 800 meters and it bears about 50 meters of clear water.
At one end, there are two wooden platforms for tourists to view the lake up close, but some people cannot resist a dip to feel the warmth of the water for themselves.
A path surrounds the lake, providing a leisurely track for trekking. A walk around the lake takes around forty minutes. Midway along the track, at the western end of the lake, there is a small visitor center which exhibits and sells local handicrafts such as musical instruments, crossbows, baskets, scarves and handbags made from hand-woven cloth.

The Bousra Waterfall is conveniently located in Pech Chenda District, 43 kilometers from Sen Monorom. It can be accessed by red soil road. The waterfall is one of the most interesting places for keen tourists. It is divided into three stages:
First Stage:
The waterfall has 15-meter diameter and 8-12-meter height in the rainy season and 10-15-meter height in the dry season.
Second Stage:
The waterfall has 23-meter diameter and 15-20-meter height in the rainy season and 20-meter diameter and 18-25-meter height in the dry season. The second stage of the waterfall has 150-meter distance from the first stage.
Third Stage:
The waterfall has stronger speed than the second stage. This stage can not be reached because of its location in the thick forest and lack of means of transpor

It locates at Sen Monorum District in 43-kilometer distance from the provincial town. During the dry season, the waterfall has 15-meter height and two-meter diameter, and during the rainy season, the waterfall has 11-meter height and eight-meter diameter.

Phnom Lou Pran :
Location : Pou Cha Village, Bou Sra Commune, Pichreada District, Mondulkiri Province, 50 km from Senmonorom City.
- How to go : It take about 4 hours by car or motobike.
- Attractions: Mountain is made of one gigantic rock. The surrounding area is covered with forest and grass. The mountaintop overlooks the beautiful landscape, especially big trees can be attractive to visitors. Moreover, this is a worship place for the local people.
